Life is like a rainbow. You need both the sun and the rain to make its colors appear.
Sunshine and blue sky on the one hand - a cloudy thunderstorm on the other hand...

This cute duckie couple looks very familiar to me... they remind me of Frank and I *g*
Of course the fact that he´s coming on to her is caused by a fluke *wink*... yes, of course!!!

For me optimism is two lovers walking into the sunset arm in arm.
Or maybe into the sunrise-whatever appeals to you.

"It´s a beautiful day" - one of my favorite U2 songs came to my mind immediately when I looked outside the window this morning...

The photo was taken in the "Innenhafen" next to our home.

Yesterday´s been a quite busy and looooong day. We visited my parents in Dortmund. They had invited Luis for a PJ-party.
Thereafter we drove to Bochum to pick up Jens.
After we bought a birthday present for "the other Jens" we were finally ready for take-off to the Sauerland.
Our acquaintances Jens (yes, the name "Jens" is rampant in Germany *g*) and Ben moved to Luedenscheid / Sauerland 3 years ago.
Snow greeted us yesterday in the morning in the part of Germany we´re living in. This happens rarely.
When it snows here, as a rule, there are usually tons of snow in the Sauerland...
To keep a long and weird story short - I loved the tons of sparkling snow so much I had to snap a shot today in the early morning when we left Jens´ and Ben´s home at about 3:30 am:

The broad-leafed trees in our part of the world have lost all their leaves during the past months. It´s usual that the leaves are falling in very large amounts by the end of fall. Even the parks seem to be grey. I love going for a long walk in the parks or forests from spring to fall when everything looks so colorful. But I also enjoy nature in the winter when the air is crisp. It´s also nice to have a look at those things you only have the chance to when it´s winter:
I absolutely adore mistletoes - including the kisses ♥ =)The picture was taken in the Hofgarten Park, Dusseldorf, Germany this afternoon.

If you´ve ever been on a night hike, do you remember how you felt?
I loved night-hiking when I was a little one, especially in the forrests.
Today we´ve been on a "light-edition" of a night hike. We took Luis out to the local port, shortly after sundown. Our mission was to search for ducks - not in order to shoot them, but to feed the ducks with some ciabatta leftovers. Mission completed:
By the way... "lamb´s lettuce with crisp duck breast and lukewarm potatoe dressing" sounds like music in my pregnant ears. *grin*
Maybe tomorrow =)
